Why do I have so many TAGS on this Site? (Full List)

Come one, come all, to the vast array of posts on the PolyInnovator website! As of late I've been revamping the site a ton. Ironically while you can see the changes to the homepage, the rest of it might not seem very apparent at first glance, unless you follow me on Twitter! haha

Note, I do try to crosspost to Bsky, Mastodon, and Threads too! It is just that Twitter is in the sidebar to my browser, which makes it quicker. I mention this because I often do a lot of announcements on these platforms. For the rest of you I wanted to make this blog post.

I've spent a ton of time recently on the site, and in particular the Tags here that I was like I should mention the changes.

How has it changed?

Firstly, about a month ago, I had merged and deleted a variety of tags. Meaning I went from having nearly 30 tags I think down to 23 or so, and last night I had merged another couple as well.

I did this in order to simplify the flow for you the reader, and help you find the resources I've made relevant to the topic you are interested in. I call my writing here the "OmniBlog" because I don't just have one niche, and I embody that polymathic lifestyle.

I even revamped the descriptions, and thumbnails for each tag. Which I don't think I've ever made thumbnails really for tags on this particular site. Given how a lot of my YouTube playlists also correspond with a matching tag on the site. I also went in on there to revamp things. Matching the names and emojis of the tags here, so it would be easier for you to find them in both places. Also merging duplicate playlists.

Why is this important? Why should I care?

As I mentioned before I did this to make it easier for YOU to find what sort of content you need. I make a lot, and organization is very important for a polymathic content ecosystem.

There were also some duplicate tags/playlists too meaning that some posts were hidden in the second "knowledge management" list, and then you missed out on that video/blog as it wasn't on the main list for whatever reason.

I have now since remedied that, and I hope to keep it organize for ages to come. I'm creating this post today to not only announce that I did it, but also to list out all of the Tags here for you to see!

🧠 PIOS Omni-Brain = Knowledge Management

The lego-like all in one productivity system, that you can create your own life operating system or second brain. Sometimes also referred to as the Personal Innovation Operating System.

Is the amalgam of all aspects behind change in your life, and at every level.
SCALE: Yearly >Quarterly > Monthly > weekly > Daily

One of the main topics here on PolyInnovator. Talking about knowledge management for polymaths. Creating a framework for your own multidisciplinary life. Now I do sometimes talk about PKM without the angle of the PIOS that I created, but only on occasion.

Otherwise it is about the Personal Integration Operating System.

🧮 The Polymath Wiki

Being someone with a many disciplines, and at least 3 or more at an expert level. Ignited by a passionate force of curiosity. The Polymath Wiki came about because of my newsletter, formally known as the Journey to Polymath. In my case my journey, but I thought I'd share the steps along the way!

The other major topic of this site, and in part, the influence behind PolyInnovator itself. Not to mention the name: Polymath of Innovation = PolyInnovator.

This tag started out as the Journey to Polymath(y), which was basically me sharing my own journey to becoming a polymath. Sharing the lessons I've learned along the way. However I've always been very inclined towards making a Wiki for all things multidisciplinary/polymath.

However I found myself writing either posts straight from the tap (me), or in response to other people's creative polymathy related content. Either blogs or videos, etc, but giving another perspective on what they were saying. Allowing me to showcase their work, and also share their work in a transformative way.

As I know sometimes content goes down over time, and I wanted some posts to live on.

🖥️ Technology and AI

Technology is the catalyst to our entire lives, and while some people say we rely on it too much. I for one believe that we have only begun.

However very little on the topic of innovating technology as a whole; How the processes are handled, the evolution of technology in the future, and most importantly the innovation. The world is being built on IoT, Smart City Tech, and Sustainability.

Sort of a conglomerate tag, which houses a variety of topics centered around tech. I used to have an AI tag, but it was redundant. Thus I merged it here into the tech tag, and just widened what sort of tech I talk about on here.

🎓 Self-Education - Modular Degree (Alt to College)

This is the tag I made for the future of education as a whole. Self-Education is a term I took from Autodidactism, and is something not talked about enough. Most, if not all, very successful individuals of the world exclaim that it was learning that attributed to their success.

Really the topic that started it all! It is the foundation to my polymathy, and the act of creating my own degree brought me down the rabbit hole of personal knowledge management.

This category is meant to showcase what the future of education is going to look like, and how I plan on building it too with the Modular Degree.

🔧 The PolyTools Digest - OmniChannel Content

This is one of my bigger topics on this blog. Explaining how to be a modern content creator, and taking an omnichannel/polymathic approach to content.

Learning how to be a MODERN Content Creator and take a polymathic omnichannel approach to digital content.

I love making content, and I started a series called the "OmniContent". Based off the idea of being omnichannel, and eventually I had to rename it to avoid trademark issues with some ecommerce site (despite coming up with it on my own). Leaning into the Poly(math) in Content, I created the "PolyInContent" brand, but with the angle expand more into content creation as a whole and tools.

However the PolyInContent just made things more confusing with all the "poly" words thrown about on this site. I created a new home for the newsletter I eventually called the "PolyTools Digest". Although I didn't want to get rid of the history of it here. Most posts in this topic will be posted on the new brand site, but I still might make some here too if related to other tags.

⚖️ Self-Development - Four Pillars Philosophy

Self-Development is the exponential catalyst to your success in life.

The Four Pillars philosophy is a Self-Development concept I created out of over a decade of introspection and philosophy research. There are four major aspects of life one must take care of, and maintain the balance between each of them.

BODY | MIND | SPIRIT | EMOTIONS

One of the first topics I ever made content about in the early 2010's, so some of the posts here are quite old. Although I've revamped them a few times over the years, and not to mention made plenty more since then. I originally came up with the Four Pillars on the U.L.C. blog (more on that later).

These are your four major aspects of life, and how you pursue them IS what makes up your Self-Development. Let alone the exponential nature of self-growth.

📰 PolyInnovator News

Any updates to the PolyInnovator ecosystem, and celebrations of milestones!

This is actually the combination of a few tags: news, polyinnovator ecosystem, and one I can't remember at this point.

Anything to do with the blog, site, or my personal brand itself goes here.

Honestly I think a lot of the posts that fall into this tag are often really interesting (if I do say so myself), but don't always get the amount of attention they deserve haha. Just thinking out loud is all.

💼 Career and Business

In everyone's life there is a challenge to find what they are good at, and what they are meant to do. Often this comes in the form of their Ikigai, and others it is simply their Ideal Career. Your lifestyle often plays a vital role as well, which is why these two are put together.

This is a weird tag because I feel like it is more "macro", as in only gets added to over the course of time. I don't particularly have a lot to say on these two topics (career and business). However I've been a businessman at heart for as long as I can remember. There's also a number of times where I talk about my career, and I never had a home for it until I had made this tag.

💪 Polymathic Exercise

A subject of cross disciplinary training for exercise and the physical regimen. Exercise is something that is often oversimplified, or conversely over-complicated.

The truest form of exercise is simply reaching to a limit on your level, realizing that you can go farther. Then proceeding to reach a new level. I want this place to be the prime source for UNIQUE thought processes on exercise.

Meaning: Finding the best sources, reaching new heights, and perhaps even the philosophy behind it all.

One of my main areas of expertise. No it is not "crossfit", but cross-disciplinary training IS good for you. I often told my clients over the years that you should dramatically change your routine for exercise every decade.

Obviously over time you'd want to adapt, and embody The Three Variables of Exercise, but overall making huge strides to evolve and change what you do.

🌌 Philosophy and FLOW

Philosophy is the why of the universe. - I created this tag as the topic of a variety of different philosophies from around the world often gets brough up on this site. From Fireside Codex entries where I may be delving into wisdom, to full on explorations of Taoism or Stoicism. To me the FLOW state also falls within this category, as in order to get into the state, then you need to be philosophically aligned.

I grew up suffering in a lot of ways. Now I know many others around the world have it harder than me, I get that, but I have dealt with a lot of trauma most people don't see. It lead me down a path that I could have easily been swallowed up in.

Though I did not let myself succumb to that pity, and I focused rather on growing my person out of it instead. I used Philosophy and World Religions to teach myself the wisdom needed to thrive in life. I'm still young, and I still have a lot to learn.

🌐 United Living Construct

The U.L.C. is a construct of polymathic innovators leading the world into a new age. At least that is the goal, and prior to me starting my personal brand PolyInnovator. This is what I worked on as a creator. - These posts were mostly made a long while back, and have since been revamped. Other new posts will be added when the time is right!

The first endeavor I worked on that caused me to make content. The U.L.C. was something of an organization I was trying to build. Something BEYOND me, and I realized even back then that the way to get attention was through content.

Since I wanted this to be a global endeavor, then I realized I needed to make a lot of content. Even now I'm thinking about globalization, and localization of content to masterfully syndicate the U.L.C. across borders.

This lead me into the world of content, and I wouldn't be here without this tag.

🌟 Ikigai and Focus

Your IKIGAI is your reason for being, and I created PolyInnovator as the foundation for my own. Since this concept has such deep roots in my work. I thought it prudent to create a tag for it, as I often make at least one post a year relating to it. - Overall Focus I have come to understand is a byproduct of IKIGAI, and if you are not aligned with one of the four quadrants (let alone all of them), then you will fail to be focused. Posts might be on 1 or the other, or both.

Through focus we can live in our IKIGAI. Through our IKIGAI we can find our focus. In both we live in FLOW.

🍃 NOW Page

These are my monthly updates on my life, both personally and professionally, and I thought might as well share them publicly. - Originally started by Derek Sivers, this is a series based around the changes in my life both personally and professionally. I decided to take it a step further with a VLOG on top of the monthly blog update! At the beginning of the month expect a new release update. Inspired by nownownow.com

I love this concept, and this series. I've made it now for years, every month, straight. It has been a journey in of itself, and the point of this series is to share my journey in the other areas of my life that surround this tag.

I started out the normal way of making a "now page", and basically just changing a page on my site each month. However I quickly realized I wanted to keep a record of the changes. Thus I made it into a blog series, and eventually added a Vlog in there for good measure. As I talk differently sometimes than when I write.

🎙️ PolyCasts

The Polymath PolyCast: Unlocking Polymathic Potential Welcome to the PolyCast, the show for the intellectually curious, the creatively diverse, and the endlessly innovative. I am your host Dustin Miller PolyInnovator, and this is the audio arm of my vast content ecosystem. We discuss multidisciplinary ideas, and interview polymathic people!

This is the audio arm of PolyInnovator, and started out as a solocast. Over the course of the quarantine I quickly started doing a lot of interviews. Audio content isn't necessarily a big thing for me. However it has been a pillar of my content, and through the video interviews I was also able to clip them with OpusClip. Which lead to a job, a lot of growth on socials, and reaching new people.

The PolyCast tag here houses lists of episodes (i.e. all interviews for "X" season, etc), written versions of podcasts, and more!

🎤 Speaking

Over the course of my creator life I have always been didactic, and I love to teach new ideas to people. Obviously not everyone is wanting to learn, so understanding one's audience is important too. - This tag is related to any speaking engagements that I do, podcasts, or perhaps touching on the topic of speaking/presenting itself!

I was mainly thinking ahead with this tag here, as there isn't much to add to it now. I've tried in the past to make a simple page for things like "shows I've been on", but overall it would get too hard to load with how many I go on. I count podcasts as speaking engagements too. They often concern the same topics anyways.

I used to keep really strong track of what shows I had gone on, via a database, but after moving to Obsidian I mainly just focused on keeping track of the hosts. I'd share the episode and move on. Though maybe what I should do is go back and make a post for each appearance too.

This also being the case for any Talks, Panels, and other speaking engagements I do in the future too of course!

✒️ Fireside Codex

Welcome to Dustin Miller's Fireside Codex by me, Dustin Miller POLYINNOVATOR. A spinoff of sorts of the PolyInnovator blog, which think of this like a bullet journal, personal codex, or Da Vincian notes. #Polymath of #Innovation

A personal public journal. Think about if Leonardo Da Vinci publicly put out his thoughts in the world when he was alive, and what difference that would have made. Of course he did some things that were frowned upon, but he would have accelerated science hundreds of years forward.

Now I'm not saying I am a Davincian level polymath, or as I call them a Universalist Polymath. However I do hope that I can attain a similar level by the end of my life. I want to have some sort of documentation of that along the way.

🎮 PolyInnovator Gaming

A section of PolyInnovator geared towards gaming. On here I'll write guides, before you purchase type of stuff, game lists, opinion pieces, and more! It is also where I'll aggregate my various gaming streaming series.

One of the major arms of PolyInnovator. I've been a gamer for as long as I can remember. Hell one of my first memories is playing super mario world on an emulator on a windows computer when I was a toddler.

While I had this sub-brand on a different website for a long while. I found that it just wasn't progressing as fast as it should there. I also failed to write as much due to the context switching between tools. Having already have this tag on this site before, I just expanded it to include that brand fully.

🎶 PolyInnovator Music

Growing up I always had a great affinity towards music. Mainly in the light of enjoyment, or processing deep thoughts. However I have always felt that there was music to be made from me. In my early adulthood I took a liking to karaoke, and fell in love with singing. I hope to expand upon this category with musical projections. - I think this will expand more when I start my Music phase for PolyInnovator. Until then it would be karaoke, music related musings, and maybe some sort of singing show.

I want to create music, not just cover other artists, although I think that is how I'm going to get started. I've also on occasion wanted to write about songs I've been listening to. Get into the beauty of musical compositions, thoughts on the flow of tracks, and my plans for being a music artist.

This tag encapsulates all of those things!

🏊 Mr. Dustin's Swim Academy

After a decade of teaching people of all ages how to swim, I finally got around to creating content about swimming. I built out the Mr. Dustin Swim Academy Newsletter, which is a sequential series (scroll to the end!), that teaches you every aspect of how to swim!

From the philosophy, physics, and even the psychology of Swimming. I have taught in a variety of ways, to a vast range of people, and I wanted to distill those methodologies. Leading up to the release of my book!

Given my years and years of teaching people of all ages. I wanted to distill my knowledge into something deeper. More importantly I wanted to reach a global audience. Over the decade plus I've taught, I've probably taught around 1000 people to swim to some degree, but that is going to hit a hard limit as I get older. I'll still teach, but it will be less and less. No more 3 hours every Saturday morning public lessons, weeks of 10-15 hours of private lessons etc.

I created this tag, and the upcoming book, to be a way for me to teach exponentially more people!

🏙️ Innovation & Smart Cities

Innovation is the prospect of integrative change, and sometimes even exponential change.

It is people behind those innovations, and understanding how all of that occurs is the point of this tag. As well as the prominence of those people, and the places they come from. If we were able to produce such innovators, then perhaps the world might be a better place. I am under the belief that if we can create new age smart cities, then the prospect of an entire generation of innovators is possible.

Similar in vain to the U.L.C. or even just the Technology tag as well. However more geared towards Smart Cities in particular. This was one of those tags I considered merging, but it felt like it deserved its own spot.

Innovation too as a concept I want to talk about more as PolyInnovator.

👐 Relationships

There are many times I found myself wanting to write about relationships, what it means to be a man, how dating works or really SHOULD work. All of the above. Here is the tag for those notions.

Disclosure: These are my own interpretations on social dating customs, how a person of the male gender should act, and overall how to be better with people.

This is a topic I wanted to talk more about over the years, even having some sort of ideas for posts that I skipped over. Various things like the order to dating, how to be a "man", and other stuff like that. Of course its just my opinion, but it is based on observation and learning.

Supporting me on this site gains you access to super-posts on the site. These mega-value, long form posts were often made in the state of flow.

This page has all of the posts that were made to be dense, immensely useful, and talking about unique concepts. Stuff that I don't even touch on in regular posts.
