Why polymath of innovation?
Someone wise told me that polymaths are inherently innovative, and that person is totally correct. So wouldn't a "PolyInnovator" be redundant? I would argue no, for I see it almost as a "niched" polymath. Someone who focuses on a close range of areas, such as innovating education and smart city development. In this particular case it is aiming to be on the forefront of those innovative endeavors.
It all started when I wanted to bring together #innovators.
This is a website made for #innovators like you, people who go outside the box, and those who are looking for a new path.
I created this as a foundation for all of the careers I intend to have in my life, but that is also to inspire others to pursue their own path as well. To set and example of what CAN BE DONE.
There is a lot of talk about how you need to niche down, or just pick one thing. However not everyone is suited for that role of a specialist. There is a huge portion of society that needs their multidisciplinary traits exemplified. Whether you are a multipotentialite, polymath, jack of all trades, or somewhere in between on the spectrum. This is a place for you to feel at home, and I intend on building a tribe of innovators and polymaths together.
A construct of minds that will help me innovate the world, and building a tribe of polymaths together. It can be done, and I have even seen many micro-pockets of polymaths out there. The culmination of all of them coming together is the intention here.
In the art of the multidisciplinary we thrive in the craziness of the up and downs in life.
Meet the Creator
Personally I have always dreamed of becoming an entrepreneur and changemaker. The world has a multitude of areas that it needs leaders with a polymathic mentality, and I hope to fill one of those spots. I aim to give others a pathway to do the same!
In my lifetime, “I will be a globally recognized Innovation Polymath. Driven to Innovate technology and ideology”.
-Dustin Miller, PolyInnovator, or Innovation Polymath
Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a “businessman”, as I would say as a child. Even as I got older I would go as far to say that I would be a CEO! As the rise of technology changed my perspective my ideas grew wider. I knew that in order to achieve those childhood ambitions I would have to pursue my goals differently.
In 2011 I started my first blog, and took my first foray into real content creation, not just a graphics design hobby. I was relatively consistent, however the quality still lacked its wow factor (Also SEO). Back on that first blog, and then again remade in 2017 (even a bit earlier) I had worked on a project called the “United Living Construct”. In my eyes I saw this as my magnum opus, and perhaps decades down the line it will be. The U.L.C. acted as a catalyst for growth, and I voracious (to this day) research knowledge on how to grow a brand. On top of that learning I tried applying that knowledge too, and eventually I thought a personal brand would be more suitable.
This construct is what lead me to aim to create an online presence.
A personal brand for those who are unaware is another way of saying an online reputation. It is the brand around myself, and what I create. PolyInnovator spawned off of the idea of a PolyULCian, someone of a multi-talented approach to innovation. Both names are just a modern version of a Polymath (think Leonardo Da Vinci #myhero).
Long into the future we will inevitably attain the mantle of a Type-1 Civilization. This may seem out of place to mention here, but my life goal is to get the planet to that stage. This community is the birthplace of that endeavor, and the actions we take here will create that future.
In order to reach that goal, there needs to be a catalyst. I tried to build what I called the United Living Construct to be that Hub of Innovation. However I realized that I wasn’t going to be good enough at that personal level yet to be that PolyInnovator I envisioned. This site and all of it’s content ecosystem, is the process or journey of me becoming that person.
This journey is something other people can look at, and either be inspired to follow their own path, or perhaps join me on mine.
It is all the content on here that should be the spark that builds your flame into who you are meant to be.
This is why I created the Personal PolyInnovation System, to build myself, and more importantly people like you up! Starting with the foundation of Self-Education, the consistency of the Self-Improvement, and the exponential potential of the Self-Development.
Combine that all with omnichannel content creation, and the Modular Education Platform I’m creating. Then there is a lot of potential for growth on the personal level for people like yourself, but also from there we can change society as innovators.
PolyInnovator | Polymath of Innovation
I started working a year after I started blogging, and during my work years I always kept trying to do more. I started as a lifeguard, and worked my way into management and instructing. I found that teaching (anything) was something I am natural at doing. I love teaching, and I am quite skilled at it. This didactic lifestyle lead me to be the same way in the content I create as well.
My WHY is that I want to create PolyInnovator as a company to change education, and Self-Development. By doing that I will be able to create a worthy platform to create many innovations, and probably most of all the U.L.C. itself as a seastead. I hope by sharing this with you, that you can gain an understanding of why I truly care about your Self-Education!
Finally leading up to today, as that same teaching mentality has been infused with PolyInnovator Academy. An online learning platform, geared towards those who want to pursue their own path. More than just pursue, but to create it even. Creating that path is what inspired the Modular Degree, a self-learning endeavor made literally for everyone.
Made for everyone because the person making it, is the person who will be pursuing it. I just give you the tools!
The OmniContent is my omnichannel series of videos, polycasts, and omniblogs; That transcend platforms, and keep a pattern of how they are made. The topics vary, but you can expect to see all three ^ forms of media. It is a really cool concept, and I have some really exciting episodes planned for here soon!
