What is the Fireside Codex?

I realized at a young age that I was a creator, and in 2011/2012 I started my first blog on wordpress.com. Eventually I moved to wix, then to WordPress.org (failed), then to Medium (RIP). Finally I got my hands on WordPress.org (third times the charm) fully.

When that happened though I had moved from my United Living Construct company endeavor, to PolyInnovator my personal identity endeavor.

Considering this nearly decade’s worth of experience, and hundreds of posts I have written.

This post will act like an entry point for any of you joining me for the first time, or even returning people. I took a very similar approach to this blog, like I did with my PolyCast.

Meaning that I consolidated my old content with my new, and this is because it is still me. A part of my history, that gives you context to where I am at today, and I also wanted to create a codex of my history.

That is the second part to the reasoning behind this blog. To create a Codex of my work, and so you can see a macro view. I was inspired by Aman Agarwal’s Codex. https://aman-agarwal.com/codex/

What should you expect?

For one there will be a lot of inconsistency between posts. This isn’t going to be extremely SEO optimized, and maybe even grammatically correct at some points if I am feeling hasty. Although since I do want this to be an example of me, I do think I’ll go back to old posts to touch up.

This would be like fixing broken links, such as links to corresponding Medium articles, that are now defunct. As well as, in some cases giving context in hindsight. For example I imported my Medium stories, which my publications on that platform are now dead. Both Airtext.xyz on Blockstack and Medium.com, kept giving me issues of their own kind. The former being technical, and Medium changed it’s monetization strategy. That really rubbed me the wrong way multiple times, and the correspondence I had with them was terrible on their end.Making me not want to work with that site anymore.

Substack seems to be the solution to that quandary.

What I intend as series to make at this time are as follows:

  • NOW Page Vlogs, which are the blog form of my NOW pages + YouTube video.
  • A daily writing habit, perhaps bullet journal style, or maybe off the cuff.
  • Once I activate the premium subscription, then some sort of special series.

Beyond that I have no idea what might come from this new endeavor. I hope you enjoy finding out with me! Follow to keep up to date! Or rather subscribe to the stack!

Edit: Now that I have consolidated everything onto Ghost CMS, the Fireside Blog became the Fireside Codex. Taking after Aman Agarwal, Leonardo Da Vinci, and bullet journals. I really wanted to share my knowledge, start a daily writing habit, and get personal with my audience at the same time. I thought well I probably won't market these posts, but I can at least make them public for people to see.
