TL:DR | Both completely overwhelmed, but also excited because so many great things are happening. I feel like I'm letting people down left and right, but I have to chase my dreams too.

As always there are a lot of things going on.

Someone said to me a quote recently, it went something along the lines of: You're always going to be overwhelmed, and there is always going to be something going on in your life making it harder.

How you choose to stay happy despite that is the secret to a happy life.

With my job possibly going either way by next month. Either wrapping it up, or doubling down on it. Not to mention a ton of swim lessons every day, a lack of karaoke to decompress me (and no longer working/running it either), and a ton of content for me to make.

Especially for my 3 channels, that are growing at a surprising rate.

What am I doing... NOW? June 2024

I'm stressed, so stressed. Yesterday was back to back engagements, from interviews to meetings, and clients. Today I have a LOT to catch up on, and they're pretty overdue in my opinion. Most of the day is done, and I feel like I still have half it all to do.

While I have said something similar to this in previous now page updates. I feel like this is different. I have no distractions per se. Not really gaming, outside of what I do for my channel (even that is sparse), and I'm not going to karaoke anymore (I'll explain in a sec). So overall I have no decompression activities, but I also have nothing to distract me in such a pivotal point in my life.

I'm actively trying to move to Austin, and I'm ever so close to doing it.

I found out last month that the DJ at karaoke who's my friend, is no longer doing the karaoke. I found out via a third party person, and despite the fact that I have ran karaoke a few hundred times at this point. Someone else is taking over full time as the karaoke jockey. Which felt like I got shafted pretty bad, so I don't even want to go as a guest anymore either.

In a bigger view #MACRO, What's Coming up

For context I have 3 YT channels, and each of them need consistent content. Some people would say I am spreading myself too thin, but everything inside of me is screaming that it is a good idea or important for me to do this. So I'm going to.

The one point comes from the opportunity cost of time during the week, as in what gets done on what day.

The channels get this content:

  1. Solo video 15ish min, long form interview, and those both make into shorts.
  2. Same here. Solo video 15ish min, long form interview, and those both make into shorts.
  3. I have a livestream that I syndicate to multiple platforms (vertical and horizontal), and that turns into solo videos with shorts coming out both.

Then I'm still trying to blog every day, as I need to catch up still. Though I may try to slow down more so I can have a bit more bandwidth to work with.

When it comes to my job, and when I am moving to ATX. I can't tell at this point. I'm still trying to figure out what I want to do, if I am working in a full time capacity.

I am so overwhelmed and stressed, but at the same time I am really hopeful.

Things I am consuming:

I recently interviewed Ryan Magin on the PolyTools Creator Spotlight, that was a blast. He is a really interesting person, and so I'm watching one of his other interviews as well. I thought I'd share:

Maybe this can be a new section to these updates. Where I share a video and song that I am watching or listening to (i.e. consuming).

The video also delves into the lives of Leonardo da Vinci and Benjamin Franklin, both considered polymaths in their own right. Leonardo's diverse skills extended to fields such as science, music, and art, while Franklin's pursuits included printing, politics, science, and education.

The Content Creator Meta (Summer 2024)

The future of content creation, especially with platforms like Tiktok, Shorts, and new entrants like LinkedIn and Pinterest, is a major concern. Diversifying and backing up content, considering decentralized networks for written work, and staying updated on trends are crucial for long-term success.
