This is part 8 of a collection of posts for each of my swimming levels for the Mr. Dustin's Swim Academy. If you feel like this level isn't for you. Then I encourage you to check out the other levels, or the complete list, via the swimming tag!
Just like how the last level's thought process was, this one is about combining things together. This is the level of pro-athletes and even Olympic swimmers.
Although you don't necessarily have to hit those titles to reach this level. It is simply the top of the line. The differences between those just starting level 8, and those who are mastered in it. They just can't be quantified by one person, me, and so this is the top.
Learning is a lifelong journey, and you never truly done with any skill. At this point it is recommended to try out variations of swimming stroke styles, practice new ways of pushing your body, combing swimming with other sports like for a triathlon, and truly feel accomplished that you made it through all of my levels.
Combining things together
This comes from the polymathic mindset. You can think of it as like the idea of the triathlon. Where you are doing running, biking, and swimming.
Overall the combination of all three challenge you physically in so many ways, but on top of that the sheer endurance it takes also challenges your mind. Making you realize you can handle so much more than you previously thought you could.
Other examples could be coming up with unique workout sessions, taking different strokes and playing around with what laps you do. Maybe adding floatation weights to fight you, or adding in unique instruments beyond that.
Alternatively, it could come to the idea of you teaching swimming, or following a similar path to me.
Doing water aerobics as well, or personal training in the water, etc.
Complete.
Instead of competing for greater and greater recognition. Perhaps this is where you decide to move on from swimming.
Or maybe you do it for the rest of your life, and progression is no longer the ideal. Simply staying in touch with your true self, perhaps using swimming for meditation, or doing something in the ocean.
Whatever it is, as long as it makes you feel: complete.
