Today I'm writing this content news post because someone asked me recently about why I am so passionate about content. It isn't the first time I have been asked, and it certainly won't be the last. However I figured for those of you who are curious, and probably trying to wrap your head around how/why I post just so much content. You are the reason I am explaining it today.

There is a push and pull factor.

Which is something that will be a topic for the 🧮 The Polymath Wiki newsletter in the future. As it directly relates to productivity for any topic. However today I wanted to use it to explain my content flow.

Content creation is the method I chose to get me from point A to point B in the success trajectory of my life. I see it as a catalyst, something that will be the foundation for all future careers I want to have.

There is a a baseline, hence the aforementioned "foundation", that needs to be set in place before I can launch various products or projects. That is what is PUSHING me forward.

Alternatively, there is this fear that I might die tomorrow, and all of the knowledge I've gained (such as with swimming) will be lost forever. That if I don't create "X" amount of content, or at least get my major ideas out there in the world. Then my life might be for nothing, at least in the grand scheme of things. A legacy only happens when enough people know OF YOU in the first place. That is what is PULLING forward.

Why is Content the Perfect Mechanism?

It is the informational media highway of our time. Every piece of information that gets created or shared, it does so through the medium of content platforms.

We often forget that these platforms CAN degrade or disappear. I.e. Vine or TikTok leaving overnight (although TikTok was for only a day).

Content however can be disseminated in many ways, broken up into micro-content, and syndicated across multiple platforms.

It can also be reused and repurposed in many ways, so for example after I make "x" amount of blog posts (let's say 1000) I can then take them and turn them into a book! You don't have to even wait that long, they could be every 250, or whatever you prefer. Maybe you'll make multiple based on multiple topics.

In the end your content will probably last longer than you, and people who come after can see it and benefit from it.

How much more do I need to make?

I have about a 1000 content ideas in my Obsidian Vault, and about 12 book ideas laid out. That alone would take at least a year if not three if done daily.

However as many of you know, and/or could tell even from my output now. That I am not doing that level of cadence. I am surely trying, and I have achieved a greater output than most (even if I don't let myself admit it).

This is why I am planning a huge endeavor this next year.

I'm going to try and schedule out a blog post every day next year, and try and catch up on all of my endeavors. Not only am I going to make a post, newsletter, for this website every day. I am going to try and batch out a majority of the newsletter posts ahead of time. Even if I miss days for regular blogs, there will at least be newsletters going out regardless.

Allowing me to focus on other forms of content, as well as bigger projects like books.

What can you do to Emulate this too?

Sincerely, please just check out my content newsletter: 🔧 The Content Polymath - OmniChannel Content. That is exactly why I created it, so that you could 100x your content output and growth.

I know that is a bold claim to make, but I have trained myself to think differently about content.... and I'm a fanatic already I'll admit.

Let those two things help YOU achieve a greater output, and a wider reach across the interwebs. I used that term specifically too. Think of the interNET as a network of webs. That is why both terms were used in the last couple decades, but people often forget those Web centric roots.

The endeavor I am trying to do takes from the skills of: batching, systems, knowledge management, and sheer practice.

Meaning if you want to do it too, then I would suggest getting your reps up first. Get your systems and habits in order, and perhaps use Knowledge Management to organize them.

From there you can attempt more Sprints, and in the case of what I am doing a "Blitz" of Content. You can do this!
