Starting out the PolyTools brand was just a newsletter.

Over time it became more than that, and I wanted to share the list of tools I found to you all. Creating a tools website from my long database, and while I tried a number of times to do it.

The latest iteration was a Ghost CMS version, depicted below.

It looked great, loaded fast, and it was mildly difficult to add tools to it. Less than previous versions, but still had its own trouble. Such as resetting the settings a lot, due to my host I believe, and I figured it was too much to maintain at this time. I might bring it back, and this is the first post in a line of Top Tools of Each Category. Thus giving you the best of the best each week.

For now while you don't you check out some other tools sites, and see what they've collected. I always believe in sharing the love of attention online.

#3 - Futurepedia

One of the bigger, and more properly laid out websites on the market. I found that it was missing too many content repurposing

#2 - Futuretools

One of the first ones I fell in love with. While the interface leaves a lot to be desired I know the founder has put a lot of effort into improving it.

It too though felt like it was missing too many repurposing, content, and even AI tools that I found. That weren't on there before. Hopefully now its been some time, and there are even more amazing tools on the site! Check it out.

#1 - ToolFinder

Probably the one I would have considered the most "competition" to my PolyTools directory. As they went more broad, beyond just productivity, and into the "World of Tools" just as I did.

However I still focus more on knowledge management and content repurposing with my list. I think there is space for us both, and I wanted to show some love for the amazing website they developed.

Find the right tool for YOU:

Since this is the first in the line of posts I'll explain this link here. It is to the page I created to replace the tools directory website. At least for now...

It links to the database, as well as embedded it into the page itself for quick glances.
