I'm going to start at the beginning, as I haven't written about this topic in quite some time. However over the years I have subtly talked about it on podcasts, to friends, and even on rare occasion on this blog.
This endeavor, 🌐 United Living Construct, is what started it all for me making content. As I wanted to create this "hub of innovation", or the syndication of innovative people into a global incubator of sorts.
Who are the People in the U.L.C.?
I came up with three distinct types of people that would encompass this construct. The ULCians as I called them were:
- Uniters
- Leaders
- Creators
Uniters and Leaders sort of serving a similar purpose, but from two different angles. You could perhaps now that I think about it, see it as extroverted leaders and introverted leaders. Although that is an overly simplified view!
Uniters would bring people together, they would be the keynote speakers, and perhaps teachers of a kind. Leaders would handle operations, take a more analytical approach, and keep the cogs running in the machine. While the uniters brought people together into various roles.
Creators take a different need, and that is for novel ideas. These are the people who are bursting with ideas, and need an outlet for research and development.
Each person has a place in the society to fill a need. Now what comes to mind is that of the roles like food, service, etc. However in my vision those would just be automated for the most part. Perhaps not even by robotic servants, but just simply doesn't need to be served by anything/anyone.
Of course this is a challenge we can face once we get there obviously. Also there are people who love to cook, so maybe a person is a "Leader" in the food industry. Leading the way for new incorporations into dishes, and managing the complexities of feeding a populace.
That is the kind of innovative line of thinking I want everyone to have in this U.L.C. future!
What about the people who encompass all THREE types?
These are what I called "PolyULCians"
Very much in line with the thinking of "Polymaths", but I felt that maybe I needed to reinvent the 'word' polymath. In order to appeal to a more modern audience. However now that we are in this "digital renaissance" of sorts in this era, and polymathy is becoming more and more relevant. I think that previous logical assumption I had is now false.
People can wrap their heads around polymathy, and in fact many people I've interview on the PolyCast ARE polymaths. At the very least polymathic.
With newer words like multipotentialite, jack of all trades, or generalist also coming into the zeitgeist. I think that it helps this cause too.
PolyULCians would be the leader in their respective fields, unifying all of the other people in that area of knowledge, and creating the learning materials for that next generation. Mind you this isn't just one person more than likely, it would be a group of PolyULCians for each.
Not every topic or niche would probably have a multitude of experts, and not every PolyULCian/Polymath would be the same either. There would be overlap, merging, and cross-discipline traded knowledge.
What does the future hold?
I can't say I SEE the future, but I do have a clear vision of what the U.L.C. entails. In fact I've never been more sure about something in my life, which is a crazy statement to make.
Before my late-mentor passed away, I had talked to him about this vision, and he supported me from the get-go. I shared with him mockup designs I drew out, trajectory plans, etc. Most of it was in an unrealistic time window, let alone even just to happen in the first place in this ever divided world.
However he supported me still.
It doesn't matter if I am successful or not, what matters is that I get enough information and progress out there. That perhaps the next person can take it up, and finish it themselves if I am not able to.
- I think seasteading is an initiative that should be researched and funded more.
- Global trade needs a complete overhaul.
- People need to stop being put into "boxes", as we are naturally more generalist than specialist.
- Education need a revamp, hence the 🎓Modular Degree
Plus many more initiatives that even I myself probably even thought of yet, which is why I need all of you too!
We can make this together, I just know it.
