Why I started this Newsletter?
I'm still on my journey to becoming a polymath, and in fact that used to be one of the names for it. It started out as "Level Up to Polymath", given the Multidisciplinary Spectrum origin, but I thought that sort of alienated people might have anchored themselves to the Multipotentialite or Generalist terms.
I want to encourage you to level up sure, and specialize in multiple expertise. However I don't want to make you feel bad for not being at the level you might think you should be at mentally. Sometimes people get to be polymath level a lot later in life than they expect, and that is okay!
To me it was about the JOURNEY to polymathy, and hence why it was called "Journey to Polymath" for a time. Still would be except I really liked this idea of a Wiki. Curating every bit of polymathy media online I could find, and I have seen it all (not hyperbole, although I need to go down another rabbit hole again soon!).
It spawned on me with the idea of making an Obsidian Vault into a Digital Garden (website) of all of the polymathy blog posts out there. Although I couldn't quite do that copyright wise. However transforming or documenting another's work will be okay, and thus I thought about adding my 2 cents or highlighting others.
What can you do with it?
If you're an aspiring Polymath, or someone who loves self-learning - autodidact, then I think you'll love to read the blog-newsletter. There are many sub-skills such as interleaving, micro and macro focus, knowledge management, and more that you can learn from these posts.
If you have a polymathy related channel too, then you can reach out and be featured on the blog, or added to the playlist! I want to showcase other people in this community, it isn't a one to rule the all, but rather a win-win approach. We can build each other up.
