Over the last decade and half I have scoured the internet for social media automation. There were two distinct needs I felt were super important to my content production and distribution.
Those being RSS automation, and bulk short form video upload. Now not every tool can do those things, let alone BOTH things, yet I thought these tools were quite capable. In my search over the years I tried things like Publer, Later, Buffer, Sendible, and many dozens more.
There are a couple hundred social media management tools out there. Warning: Stay FAR far away from Socialvista or Metricool. Those being really terrible apps and companies. However big honorable mention to Socialbu which just barely didn't make the list today.
Now these are the best options I think for social media management:
#5 - Airtable Automation
Until I found my solution I use now I was so fed up with the lack of options. That I literally considered figuring out how to automate by using an airtable database and zapier/make combo.
Some creators have done this successfully, and I should note that it should be possible with Notion or NocoDB as well.
#4 - OpusClip
Over the years I would get so many usable clips from repurposing my longform content. However I had no way of getting them out, and I would use pretty much all of the tools on this list plus something like Publer (wouldn't recommend).
However eventually Opus came out with a built in scheduler, and even added bulk-like features. While it isn't as efficient for me, as I want scheduling for more than just clips. I.e. RSS to social. For a lot of people it would get the job done well!
#3 - Buffer
Tried and true. I am not a fan of how they changed their pricing, and early on I used to have a lot of hell with their tool not wanting to save my work if I clicked in the wrong part of the screen. However this was one of my first tools I ever came across.
They have made a ton of strides since then, and is one of the platforms that gets new social media platforms or features the quickest (besides the #1 tool on this list!).
#2 - Recurpost
Before my top tool was able to do bulk posting, this is the tool I used to finish up my mega-campaign of podcast social clip posts. I worked closely with the team, and they were very helpful.
The overarching philosophy of reoccurring your posts, and the user interface wasn't for me. Thus I moved on, but this is a tool I can quite suggest confidently.
#1 - Nuelink
To me this is tip top social media management tool. I've talked to the founder a number of times, and the team behind the company is quick to act on feedback too. They are also one of, if not THE, quickest when it comes to adding new additions.
Meaning when blusky and mastodon were booming from the mass exodus of twitter, Nuelink was on it on adding those platforms. They also have some of the best short form video posting features as well.
To me bulk was a huge deal, and they have been working hard at making it work well in their tool. Not just a CSV, but an actual bulk-multi upload which is fantastic.
All of this doesn't come close to their amazing automations, that while I've had to keep an eye out to keep them running once a month (all automation platforms you should be doing this to be clear). I've had the best experience with social media automation through Nuelink. I syndicate across a multitude of platforms for my written posts, youtube to social, blog to social, podcast to social, short form video simul-posting, and much more!!
