One of the most important categories I would say in the PolyTools database, as it is one of the major reasons why I created PolyTools in the first place. That lead to my sub-brand "The Content Polymath".

Being able to repurpose your long form content either into other mediums, as in take a video and make it into a podcast or blog, and vice versa. Alternatively, and more commonly, the need to take your long form content and turn it into short form micro-content. These are the various tools that come to mind for those purposes!

#10 - ContentFries

I'm not sure if they're even really updated much in the last couple years. However it was one of the tools with most features, and the developer/founder created a ton of content with it. Which I think is commendable using your own product to multiply your content output. Honestly even other tools like Recast and Opus need to do that more too.

#9 - VideoTap

While not the best on the market when it comes to clipping, it does have a lot to offer when it comes to written repurposing. A lot of people grabbed the lifetime deal on appsumo too.

#8 - Veed

An editor that used to be exclusive to bigger creators, but then later opened up to everyone. I'm not sure if it took too long to do that though, as it has a ton of competition now.

The tool includes a variety of features that may be useful to some creators!

#7 - Recast Studio / Chopcast

These are the first two repurposing tools that come to mind that weren't Repurpose (which came before everything), or Opus (which is what replaced them essentially). However I don't really see these tools making a huge dent in the market at this point. Chopcast has defaulted to purely linkedin a as done for you service focus.

Recast has a lot more to offer, perhaps even better done than VideoTap, when it comes to repurposing your content into multiple formats of written microcontent. Although clipping is still pretty mediocre.

#6 - ElevenLabs

Quickly becoming a prevalent tool on the creator's dock. There are so many features, from text to speech, or even avatar generation, and more.

The possibilities are endless with something like Elevenlabs. Now I do think pricing can quickly become an issue, but overall there are a lot of ways you can use this tool to transform your content into other formats.

#5 - CrossClip

While more of a reframing tool, than repurposing, it has lead me to be able to create a ton of really well made gaming clips for my gaming channel.

Personally I found that Streamlab's Crossclip was the best in the gaming repurposing category.

#4 - Repurpose.io

A bit dated at this point, with limited clipping or chopping options. However it still reigns strong on syndicating your content across a variety of platforms.

I've honestly considered this tool to be more of an automation/syndication tool rather than a content repurposing tool. Simply because it doesn't really do any of the micro-content generation. To my knowledge it doesn't do written posts from long form like Recast, and the clipping is still based off of timestamps which isn't comparable to AI sequenced clips.

However it is a game changer for a lot of creators.

#3 - BeyondWords and Play.ht

While Elevenlabs has filled the space of text to speech, it wasn't the first on the market. In fact one of the earliest I can recall seeing was "Speechkit", which is now known as Beyondwords. A company I partnered up with early on in my blogging journey, as it allows you turn your blog posts into audio casts.

An alternative that some people use is Play ht, so I felt that I should mention it too.

Beyondwords has a ton of features that other tools don't have though, such as text to video automatically from your blogs, turn your audio cast feed into a podcast, and at one point they even had an alexa skill builder (not sure if that is even relevant anymore but that was cool).

Repurposing and syndication has a lot of overlaps. However Nuelink is a tool with one of the most automations I've seen for content creators.

One of my favorite basic ones for any tool, is to have all of my images from instagram go over to pinterest for example. Another automation that is a huge deal for me, and no other tool does it quite as well. Even Dlvrit, Repurpose, or Socialbu... that is RSS to Social Platforms automation.

Any time I make a new video, blog post, or podcast, on any and all of my channels. They all go out to all important platforms: FB, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Twitter, Threads, Mastodon, Blusky, etc.

#1 - OpusClip

While Opus mainly focuses on video content purely, it is by far the best Clipping software on the market. Taking your long form content, for pretty much any niche (with the clipanything model), then chopping it up into dozens of clips.

Now like with any tool of this kind, I usually say that you can use most of the clips, but not all of them. As all tools seem to find the "intro" as a clip, or maybe have a duplicate or so, and obviously you wouldn't want to use those. With Opus I find those to be less common, and even the clips that some might overlook. If you just hop into the editor real quick, then tweak 1-2 things you can make an "Ok" clip, into a "Great" clip.

I've made THOUSANDS of clips using this tool, garnering hundreds of thousands of views across multiple youtube channels, my entire social network ecosystem, and more.
