What started out as a video idea, quickly became a blog as well, this post is all about how to become a totally new person in just half a year. I didn't think you could quite accomplish it sooner than that, even with Monk Mode, and I thought you CAN do it in less than a year.
Back in 2016 or so I had this dilemma, and I thought to myself how do I do all of these habits? I wanted to learn (self-made degree), learn languages (duolingo), read, exercise frequently, eat more nutritionally, meditate, AND create content.
Now I'm not quite doing all of that, but a ton of these habits became second nature to me at one point. I was reading voraciously for a while, this last year I exercised a ton, and all it took was for me to instill that habit into who I was for a time.
Maybe it would have lasted longer if I kept that frame of mind more. Thus the person you want to be, the habits they have, they are simply a frame of mind you need to deeply adopt. I.e. "I am a reader" versus "I want to read more".
Why do you think you need to change?
Start with why.
If you don't have a reason for becoming this new person, or changing who you are, then your mind is going to resist the change.
Once you find your anchor to whoever this new version of you that you want to become. That is what will be your drawing force towards that newer ideal.
How does one change in just half a year?
The method is simple you just have to incorporate the new schedule. Think of it like forcing yourself to wake up early, or cutting out caffeine. Those things are really hard, but after a couple weeks the pain of it wears off.
If you want to become a new person in such a short timespan of half a year or so. Then you have to imagine the first month is going to be the destroying the old you phase.
After that it is a matter of organizing your life to be the next version. What does that person's schedule look like?
12 Week Year
A good starting point is the book the 12 week year, where it talks about how much you can accomplish in just a quarter of the year, or a few months. Since we have half a year, 24 weeks, 2 quarters, there is plenty of time to incorporate the lessons from the book.
Mostly you have to just really define your vision, and stick to your goals strongly.

Yearly, Quarterly, Monthly, Weekly, Daily Notes
How do you do that? Well you use a system that keeps track of each layer of time.
I wrote a post about this recently, that will help you understand. If you want to become a new person, then you have to make detailed plans about how to get there.
On yearly, list out the kind of person you want to be after the first half, and then what you want to accomplish in the second half.
From there define each quarter into how to become that person, keeping that new version consistent, then sowing the seeds for the new endeavor, and then finally accomplishing that endeavor in the last quarter.
You can break it down even further into monthly goals and projects, then weekly and daily progression towards those goals.

How do you incorporate new habits of the New You?
They say it takes 21 days for a new habit to form, basically 3 weeks, and while that for the most part is true. You can start some new habits instantly.
Think like food/diet, or exercise regimen, they don't have to be 3 weeks. You could start tomorrow, or better yet today. Then you just make the same choice the next day. It isn't easy, but it IS simple.
This post isn't about habits, but I do suggest looking into how to settle in new habits. As it wouldn't be a bad idea to learn, or get a refresher.
What does your new life, as a new person look like?
Imagine for a moment someone who is living the life that you are wanting. What do they look like, how do they act, what are their mannerisms? Etc.
Now simply work backwards, and how does that person come to be? How can you take your mannerism A and turn it into mannerism B?
Really take a moment, and visualize what their life looks like. Their environment, their city, the climate, then go inward. What do they look like, how do they think, how would they respond to a situation differently than you, and envision a character that you could become.
Maybe even someone whom you do not think you CAN become, but do it anyways. Might I suggest talking to an AI chatbot to help you process through the mental change?
This isn't about not liking who you are, it is about becoming the person you wish to be!
If you're like me and have been frustrated where you are in life, then finding a way out of it is key.
This post isn't meant for you to have negative self-talk, but rather to get you started envisioning who you want to be. Life is all about reinvention, and about changing course. Sometimes very rapidly, and the ones who learn to adapt the quickest... not only are the ones who are often the most happy, but also have the most interesting lives to tell others about. The ones with the most interesting stories if you will.
I hope this is a strong start to a great new version of you!
